The Department of English was started with the establishment of the college in the year 1994. Since its inception a pivotal role is being played by the Department in the flourishment of college, encouraging the students for the enrichment of their communication skills and their all-round development under the capable guidance of able Admistrators -cum- Lecturers like Ms.Y. Showrilu Reddy Madam and Dr. D. Krishnaveni Madam.

MISSION
To improve the insight of the student into LSRW skills and Literature many Literature Acquisition activities are organized. ICT enabled rooms are provided, Group Discussions, Debates are conducted. Lectures and Seminars are organized, inviting the Highly Qualified Resource Persons the students are made acquainted with Language and Soft Skills, as the Efficiency in the Soft Skills boosts up the level of confidence to obtain the eloquence to empower the students with the nuances of literature and language.
